How To Hire
WHAT DO I NEED?
What do I need bring to hire something? There are three things that you’ll need to have on you to hire from our Sydney warehouse:
- One form of current photo identification such as a drivers licence, proof of age identity card, passport or student card.
- Two current utilities or other official documents as proof of current address.
- One current credit card for payment and deposit imprint.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE COLLECT?
If you can’t come to pick up your hire gear on the day and are unable to present the above documentation that is on your hire booking, then please complete the following:

- Return it via email or in person to the appropriate branch
- In advance of the despatch date and give us the details of who you are approving to collect so we’re well prepared!
How do I pay?
Payment is required in full prior to the hire – acceptable forms of payment are Cash, Cheque, EFTPOS and Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard accepted).
There will be a deposit imprint required on a valid credit card that will be released upon return of the hired gear.
Please feel free to browse the Sydney hire inventory and remember that if something is not listed online, contact your local branch as our staff may have an option that fits your requirement.
As a long-standing and experienced backline hire business we have access to many of Australia’s most qualified and respected technicians, both in-house and as part of our extensive professional network.
We can offer services including:
- Set up and pack down of hired equipment
- Stage technicians
- Drum technicians
- Guitar technicians
- Stage managers as part of our service packages.
Please note: It is important to note: that should you require technical services, your request should be made well in advance of any event date to allow us to ensure they will be available – due to the busy nature of the industry BHSS cannot guarantee availability of these services at all times.

Standard backline delivery fee of $110 each way (including GST):
Which includes delivery during normal business hours – Monday to Friday.
After hours backline delivery fee of $275 each way (including GST):
Which includes delivery after normal business hours.
Please note: Delivery and collection by our team is made only to secure ground floor locations and loading docks within 20 metres of the parked transport vehicle.
For venues that have special load-in and out requirements the client will be required to arrange labour to handle movements and should be discussed and coordinated upon booking requests.
